An Introduction – Shanna Sakata

My name is Shanna Sakata and I go by she/her pronouns. I was born and raised in Fremont, California in a time that the Silicon Valley had cemented itself as a staple of leading edge technology. After almost twenty years of life, I haven’t found a reason to stray from my longtime home.

My hobbies include film, photography, and music. I’ve taught myself much of the skills I know and I hope to sharpen them throughout my pursuit of higher education. I believe that passion is the key in finding true happiness in life. My wish is to one day have the privilege to produce my own animated television series for general audiences.

Though I have many ideas of what I would like to write about, putting it into detail with smooth flow has always been difficult. With this course, I hope to gain the skills to carefully integrate all the delicate wordplay and symbolism I need to add depth to my writing.
